Launch of the Port Health Centre in Chaguaramas 2026
April 29th, 2026 - Crews Inn, Chaguaramas - Chairman Mrs. Calise Narinesingh Martin and Deputy Chairman Ms. Kirby Joseph attended the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly established Port Health Office at Crews Inn, Chaguaramas on April 29, 2026.
The event marks a significant strategic milestone in the continued transformation of Trinidad and Tobago’s yachting and boating sector. The establishment of the Port Health Office underscores strengthened collaboration between the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism (MTTI) and the Ministry of Health (MoH), both of which have played a pivotal role in advancing this initiative.
The facility represents more than a physical space for the issuance of health approvals to incoming visitors; it introduces a more efficient and streamlined process for the granting of pratique, enhancing the ease of entry for vessels and reinforcing Trinidad and Tobago’s position as a competitive maritime destination.
The CDA Board’s presence at the ceremony reflects the Authority’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that drive economic growth, improve sectoral efficiency, and elevate the Chaguaramas peninsula as a premier hub for marine and leisure activities.
