FOOD TRUCK/VENDING TRAILER CONCESSION AND FOOD YARD DEVELOPMENT

As the statutory body charged with the development of the Northwest Peninsula, the Chaguaramas Development Authority (CDA) invites experienced culinary entrepreneurs, facility managers, and food service operators. This initiative aims to transform key coastal locations into vibrant, high-quality Food Yard experiences that reflect the unique cultural and environmental heritage of Chaguaramas Discover the vibrant culture and traditions of Chaguaramas. Immerse yourself in the history, music, and cuisine of this beautiful destination. From colorful festivals to lively concerts, there's always something to experience in Chaguaramas.

 The CDA is seeking to optimize its existing assets, which include a fleet of vending trailers, while also providing a structured opportunity for private investment in local micro-entrepreneurship, targeting owners of food trucks/vending trailers who seek a strategic location for generating revenue. As the Northwest Peninsula is a popular area for recreation, eco-tourism, commercial and industrial activity, the high levels of foot traffic provide ample opportunity for investors who are interested in providing culinary tourism experiences for consumers.

The EOI covers five (5) distinct locations, with the following characteristics:

  • Zoning:  Resort Residential      land use.
  • Topography:  Flat, and well-drained.
  • Accessibility:  Easily accessible off main      road networks
  • Utilities:  Essential service      infrastructure exists (Water, Electricity)

The Tenant/Licensee will be granted a license to either an existing vending trailer or an available spot in the target area, inclusive of space to situate the vending infrastructure and for patron queueing.

DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF A MULTI-PURPOSE INDOOR SPORTING FACILITY

The Chaguaramas Development Authority (CDA), the statutory body mandated to develop and manage the Northwest Peninsula, is soliciting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from highly qualified, multidisciplinary developers, investors, and facility management consortia. The objective of this EOI is to identify proponents interested in financing, designing, constructing, and operating a state-of-the-art Multi-Purpose Indoor Sporting Facility within the Northwest Peninsula. The successful proponent will be granted a medium to long-term lease arrangement, wherein they will operate the facility on a commercial basis and remit a negotiated lease fee to the CDA.

To bolster eco-tourism, recreation, and commercial activity, the CDA conceptualizes the development of a Multi-Purpose Wellness & Performance Centre. To maximize usefulness and revenue, and to preserve land space, the facility should be multi-use, which allows the same floor space to host various sporting activities and other client events.

Preliminary spatial assessments estimate the total land area required for the facility to be approximately 5,318 square meters (approx. 60,000 sq. ft. or 1.5 acres). The requirements include:

  1. Main Multi-Purpose      Sporting Area:     An estimated 1,050 sq. meter clear-span space with high-performance      synthetic flooring to host Indoor Futsal, Basketball, Netball, and      Volleyball.
  2. Health & Wellness      Amenities:     Between 300 to 500 sq. meters dedicated to a modern gym facility focusing      on functional fitness, cardio, free weights, and recovery.
  3. Commercial &      Amenities Area:     An estimated 300 sq. meters dedicated to nutrition and retail, including      smoothie stations, a healthy cafe, locker rooms, and retail space.
  4. Operational &      Parking Area:     Approximately 2,500 sq. meters dedicated to parking, targeting 80 to 100      spots, as the Chaguaramas area requires heavy vehicle dependence due to      limited public transport.

The successful proponent will assume full responsibility for the turnkey delivery and operational management of the facility.

DESIGN, REFURBISHMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF THE CHAGUARAMAS PUBLIC GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE CONCESSION

 The Chaguaramas Development Authority (CDA), invites experienced developers, culinary entrepreneurs, and hospitality management firms to submit Expressions of Interest for the design, refurbishment, and subsequent operation of the Food and Beverage (F&B) concession at the Chaguaramas Public Golf Course Clubhouse. This initiative seeks to identify a partner who can provide a comprehensive, high-quality solution, transforming the existing structure through aesthetic and functional upgrades into a vibrant hub for golf club members, visitors, and the wider recreational community. 

The CDA aims to partner with this operator who can elevate the clubhouse’s aesthetic and service standards while maintaining the site’s cultural and environmental integrity The CDA is seeking a professional operator capable of delivering a Design-Build-Operate model that integrates a premium culinary experience with a modern, sustainable facility plan. 

 

The facility is a developed, flat-land structure located within the Resort Residential zone of the Peninsula. Based on the existing space, the concessionaire will have access to the following primary areas:

  • Concession Area: Approximately 2,388.7 sq. ft. for patron seating and service.
  • Kitchen Facility: Approximately 210.3 sq. ft., inclusive of preparation and dish-washing zones.
  • New Bar Area: Dedicated bar counter and storage for beverage service.
  • Patio Area: A timber-floored outdoor space for flexible use.
  • Male and Female Bathrooms and Change rooms
  • Office space

Permitted Uses:

  • Full-service bar and beverage operations.
  • Daily food service (breakfast, lunch, and refreshments).
  • Event catering for golf tournaments and private bookings.
  • Facility management of the common seating areas.
  • Facility management of the toilet and changing room facilities.
